L.I.F.E Program
Hip-Hop, a culture for our generation with the means to influence, the means to be heard, the means to cause change. Hip-Hop is LIFE. Step into the arena of LIFE, an education program built to support all elements of Hip-Hop. LIFE stands for Late Night Programs, Itchy Fingers, First Steps and Expressions of the Wall.
The LIFE program was built to develop young people's skills in the art forms of Hip-Hop. What came out of this year's session was much more. 2006's LIFE program featured students from Tacoma, Seattle and Olympia, ranging in ages from 6-years-old to 22-years-old. During the ten-week program, the students were given an opportunity to dive head first and experiencing the culture first hand.
LIFE would not be possible without support from the
following organizations:
2[feet] Crew
Puget Sound Christian Center
The City of Tacoma Arts Commission
The Greater Tacoma Community Foundation
The Northwest Leadership Foundation
The Robert. B. McMillen Foundation
The Russell Family Foundation
