Here’s a quick snapshot of Fab-5/L.I.F.E. student Anthony Bounleurt at a Tacoma Repertory Dance Group performance that was held in November 2010.
Anthony has been involved with Fab-5 since 2008 and has excelled as one of our most dedicated dance students. He’s had an extremely busy Fall 2010 with showcases and performances at Stewart Middle School, Lincoln High School, Tacoma School of The Arts, Tacoma Arts Museum and Urban Grace Church.
If you wanted to check out more of Anthony, you can hit up his YouTube page where he’s posted his own video clips and other dance related media!
The AMOCAT Arts awards recognize those in our community who provide distinctive contributions to the arts. The honorees work hard to support and build our community by innovating in artistic excellence. AMOCAT award recipients are nominated and selected by the Tacoma Arts Commission. Each honoree exhibits vision, dedication, and action in creating a lively arts community in Tacoma.
Fab-5 won the “Community Outreach by an Organization” category. Big shout out goes to both Urban Grace & Oliver Dorris (Fulcrum Gallery) who also won in the Arts Patron and Artist categories.
Awardees will be honored at the annual Art at Work Opening Party on Nov. 4, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. @ the Tacoma Art Museum.

Fab-5′s Eddie Sumlin, Kenji Stoll & Chris Jordan got some really nice press courtesy of our good friend/musician/Weekly Volcano writer, Zach Powers. The article is on the recently finished mural on the west side of the Rialto Theatre – Apollo The Sunflower God.

Attached is the HERO Program app, have you found out when you’re starting to deliver your workshops? I’d love to start getting in the mix with you and getting some sign-ups for HERO @ Cascade. I’m rounding out my recruitment in both my high schools and getting into a steady meeting schedule with my HERO students at Evergreen (every other Tuesday 2:15p-3:15p). I’ve also started to make some in-roads @ Chinook MS too.
As for the graduation specialist, how can I get in-touch with her? Did you want to setup a meeting between her, you and I for this Thursday? I’m free all-day. Here’s a link to the HERO Program overview: http://www.collegesuccessfoundation.org/Page.aspx?pid=451
